This film is about the education of Viktor B. Viktor was born in 1949; his father a handyman, and his mother a general worker. His first five years were spent with his grandmother in Baar. His periods in institutions: 1954/55, Vincentianum (Basle); 1960/61, Chaurnont ('because of behaviour and school difficulties and neurosis'); 1965, Reception Centre (Basle) and the Rural Home at Erlenhof; 1966/69, Juvenile Centre at Tessenberg.

Viktor and education: one day it begins to go wrong. The more it goes wrong, the more 'education' Viktor receives—the more he is given, the more it goes wrong.
